Black Crows - Captis Skis 2023

Black Crows - Captis Skis 2023

The Captis provides excellent all-mountain freestyle performance. This ski has an average width (by today’s standards) that is aimed at riders who are going to be ripping groomers, lapping the park and making the whole mountain their playground. The construction of the ski allows it to be powerful yet playful at the same time.

With its 90mm waist, the Captis is very fast edge-to-edge, which is perfect for carving on a hardpack or nimbly navigating between features in the park. A semi-cap construction is used to get the best of both worlds- sidewall along most of the ski's edge gives the ski a powerful edge hold and cap construction in the tip and tail saves weight and softens the ski, allowing for a playful feel for jibbing.

Rockered tip & tail allows for smooth riding forwards or switch, as well as fluid turn initiation and plenty of pivot for variable conditions. Stability at high speeds or in landings is no problem thanks to traditional camber underfoot. The Ski's full poplar wood core is reinforced with biaxial and triaxial fibreglass weave which improves the torsional rigidity of the ski without adding the extra weight of metal laminates, resulting in a ski that is strong even at very high speeds and holds a great edge it's laying down carves on piste or slicing up the wall of a halfpipe.

The Black Crows Captis is ideally suited to the all-mountain freestyler looking for a fast and powerful ski to take down groomers, through the park and off the side.

Features Include:

Double Beak Profile - Rocker in both the tip and tail makes an easy to use, dynamic ski which floats in the deepest of conditions, meanwhile camber underfoot gives stability in harder conditions

Poplar Wood Core - This is a lively core which gives stability and power for high performance skiing

Semi-Cap Step Down ABS Sidewalls - A semi cap construction gives the strength and grip of sidewalls, but also saves weight and makes the skis easier to pivot

Binding Reinforcement - Extra fibreglass is placed in the centre of the ski to make the binding section of the ski stronger

Classic Medium Camber - Classic camber under the foot with intermediate ski/snow contact: balance between stability and handling
